Well, Joel Goodson has done it again!
Tom Cruise mouthed off at poor Matt Lauer this morning on the Today Show. Cruise called the poor interviewer "glib" and " an irresponsible journalist". Cruise pretty much came across as an obnoxious know-it-all imp!
The scientologist / actor has now miraculously morphed into an expert on psychiatry and the drugs perscribed to help patients suffering from varying degrees of mental illness. Has he lost his marbles or what?
Within the last 10 weeks, it would seem that Cruise has been on a self-destructive journey (some would even call him manic), all before our eyes.
He's meant to be out promoting the new Speilberg film "War of the Worlds" which he stars in, but instead, we've been witness to his obsessively frightening relationship with new stepford gal Katie Holmes and his views on everything but film acting.
I've come to admire him over the years, even commenting from time to time on what great range he has as an actor. Now, well, I just plain think he's insane. Perhaps it's time that he too looked into taking some of those pshycotropic drugs he's so down on.

Kudos on another well-written piece. Isn't it amazing when those mega-million dollar superstars inject a moment of clarity into commercially conditioned consciousness that forces the reaction, "Hey, they really are human!" Didn't watch the interview, but did hear a clip on the radio referring to the medication/scientology statement. I was pleased to hear someone of Cruise's stature speak out against the chemical theropy machine. Speaking from personal experience, psychotheropy drugs are not very effective, and should only be used to suppliment a larger psychological recovery program which should include proper dieting, exercise and meditation. To think that simply taking prozac while living a self-destructive lifestyle will maintain one's well-being is ludicrous and misleading. Thought patterns are a learned function, and can only be corrected by acquiring better thinking habits. So, I say kudos to Cruise for speaking out. Has it tarnished his arguably perfect Hollywood personna? Perhaps. Just imagine if he'd farted during the interview? His career would be finished! DD
